Online homeschooling is quickly becoming the fast growing way to homeschool.
When I began my homeschooling trek in 1983, the homeschool vendors could fill up a small church basement.
I didn’t like them. I wanted my daughter to have the best.
Even back in the 80′s I thought textbooks and workbooks were old fashioned.
After all, we have been learning with them for hundreds of years. In the late 1990′s while I was on bedrest with triplets and homeschooling my then four children I discovered that the Internet has a wealth of information for homeschooling.
But even then it was much too vast. Without a prescribed way to obtain great websites and integrate them into academic subject matter, a homeschooler’s time could be devoured simply by searching.
We set out to tame it. Extract from it the very best websites. Write new ways of presenting facts, history, math and science. Immerse the students in a thoroughly Biblical environment where they would not only be safe but learn to think from a Biblical perspective.
Online homeschooling has become an answer to prayer for tens of thousands of families that we serve at Learning by Grace. Online homeschooling is my passion because it works. If I had to describe one thing it brings to parents, I would say PEACE. Less stress. More Joy.
Online homeschooling does so much of the work for parents that they used to have to do alone.
Online homeschooling uses the power of DELEGATION. You don’t need a cow in your backyard to give your family fresh milk. You delegate that job to your local supermarket and that gives you more time to raise your family.
Just like you don’t need a cow to get milk, homeschooling does not mean you have to do EVERYTHING yourself.
